The Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC) hosted the swimming, water polo, diving and synchronised swimming events in the
2006 Commonwealth Games and the 2007 World Swimming Championships. Go for a swim in the same water that the Thorpedo sliced
through and maybe even clock your own times for reference against the world’s greatest under comparable conditions.
There are several pools in the complex including two Olympic sized pools (one indoor and one outdoor), a 25 m pool
and a wave pool for kids. A FlowRider to practise your surfing has also recently been added.

Beware of clashes with local sporting events, which can relegate lap swimmers to the diving pool. A timetable of
lane availability is on display in the entrance foyer or ring ahead to check. There are special nights for the local lap
swimming club, which also hosts 75 m lap swimming nights, when the pool is extended by 25 m to test your endurance.
